It is the relationship between these elements that constitutes the Fiabe Motorie® method.
Storytelling, movement and cognitive processes are not simply placed side by side. They are designed together so that, during the experience, the child may be asked to pay attention, remember, inhibit a response, switch rules, choose, plan and adapt their action.
How the story changes the action
Information heard earlier may need to be remembered during an action. A rule in the story may determine how to move. An unexpected event can make the previous response no longer valid, requiring the child to stop, change strategy and choose again.
The story does not accompany the activity. It transforms it.
