Fiabe Motorie® – The Motor Fairy Tale Method

FIABE MOTORIE® FOR COMPANIES

Your product can become an experience to live.

FIABE MOTORIE® integrates narrative, movement and cognitive processes to transform products, spaces and content for children into active educational experiences.

We do not simply add a story to a product. We design how the story can determine what the child has to observe, remember, choose and do with their body.

ONE METHOD. MANY POSSIBLE APPLICATIONS.

The story is not simply told. It is used.

FIABE MOTORIE® was developed at the intersection of narrative, movement and executive-function demands. The method can be applied to existing products and services to create a new layer of experience for the child.

An object can become the starting point of a mission.
A space can become a world to move through.
Audio content can get the child up and bring the story into the room.
A digital platform can continue the experience away from the screen.

Cognitive demands can be intentionally embedded in the experience: attention, working memory, inhibition, cognitive flexibility, decision-making and planning can be connected to what the child has to do physically.

ADD THE METHOD TO WHAT YOU ALREADY DO

Add a narrative-cognitive-motor architecture to your existing activity.

You do not need to replace what already works. We can start from your product, activity, curriculum or service and add an experiential layer in which narrative, movement, rules and cognitive demands make that content something the child has to use through the body.

Your product remains yours. Your content remains yours.
FIABE MOTORIE® designs how the child experiences it.

If you make toys or educational materials

An inset toy, construction set, kit or open-ended material can stay exactly as it is. We can design a situation in which that product becomes information to use, a choice to make or the starting point of a motor mission.

The product does not change: what it can make the child experience does.

If you make motor or psychomotor equipment

Hoops, modules, mats, pathways, balance equipment or soft play can keep their physical function and gain an additional layer: rules, roles and narrative information that make movement part of a problem to remember, modify and solve.

From equipment to experience, without changing the nature of the material.

If you teach a language

The vocabulary and language objective remain those of your programme. FIABE MOTORIE® can add an experiential component: the child hears an instruction, understands it, remembers it and uses it to orient themselves, choose and move through space.

The language is not replaced: it becomes something the child does.

Language objectiveInstructionActionExperience

If you already use “move & learn” activities

The educational objective can remain exactly the same. We can design how the child encounters and uses information: what they remembered earlier, the role they are playing or a peer's action can change where, when or how they need to act.

Same educational objective. A different route to the information.

The starting point can be very small: choose one existing module, activity or product, build a first integration, test it and use the feedback to decide whether and how to develop it further.

USE CASES

How can FIABE MOTORIE® become part of what you already do?

The starting point is not “adding a fairy tale”. It is understanding what your product, space or content could enable the child to experience in a new way.

01Toys

A toy can continue beyond the play itself.

A child builds a bridge with a construction toy. The construction does not end the activity: it becomes the beginning of the story. To cross it, the child may need to remember actions, avoid areas, change movement when the story changes and collaborate with another child.

02Outdoor

A playground can become a story to move through.

A bridge, slide, balance element and climbing structure can become an expedition. The structure stays the same; the way the child uses it changes. One story may require a remembered sequence, another may make some elements unavailable, while another changes the rule during the route.

03Learning spaces

The learning environment can become part of the activity.

Mats, soft modules, tables, movable seating and different areas of the room can become places within the story. The child may have to reach an area while remembering an instruction, change route when the rule changes or cooperate with peers to physically transform the space.

From exercise to mission.

Hoops, modules, obstacles and balance equipment can form a circuit. With FIABE MOTORIE®, the child does not simply receive a motor sequence: they may need to remember which elements can be used, which must be avoided and what changes when a narrative signal appears.

05Audio

A story to listen to. And to live.

The listening experience pauses and, to continue, the child has to get up: cross the room without touching certain points, remember a sequence, reproduce a movement or choose which action will make the adventure continue.

The book can leave the page.

The protagonist needs to cross a forest. The child temporarily closes the book and crosses the room following three rules. When they return to the story, what they have just done becomes part of the adventure.

The screen can be the starting point. Not the destination.

A digital character assigns a mission. The child temporarily leaves the screen, moves through the real space, remembers a sequence or solves a simple problem through the body. Then they return to the platform and continue.

08Language learning

Language can also be learned through the body.

“Walk to the river, jump twice and hide behind the tree.” To continue the story, the child has to understand the instruction and actually carry it out. Verbs, prepositions, body parts, directions and language sequences become actions.

09Early years / Schools

From a pilot to educator training.

A network of early-years settings can begin with a pilot in one or two locations. FIABE MOTORIE® is applied directly with children; educators observe the method and a later training pathway can transfer tools that fit their everyday practice.

10Professional learning

A new tool for people who work with children.

A training provider can introduce a module on using narrative to design motor experiences in which executive-function demands and bodily action are intentionally connected.

11Culture

Cultural content can become a physical experience.

An exhibition about space can become a mission: reach a planet while following rules, remember a sequence, change movement when the planet changes and cooperate with other children.

12CSR / Social impact

A message can become something the child experiences.

Sustainability can be experienced by recognising materials, physically reaching the correct recycling point, remembering rules and adapting them during play. The same principle can be applied to health, water, energy, inclusion, citizenship and wellbeing.

THE PRINCIPLE

We do not simply add a story. We design what the story needs to make happen.

The distinctive value of FIABE MOTORIE® is not simply using stories and movement together. It lies in how narrative, action, rules and cognitive demands are designed in relation to the educational objective.

A NEW EXPERIENCE

This page describes what the method can make possible. It does not disclose proprietary matrices, protocols, design sequences or other elements of FIABE MOTORIE® know-how.

COLLABORATION MODELS

We can start small.

Pilot

A limited first application to explore the concept in a real context.

Co-development

We design a new way of using an existing product or service together.

Content licensing

FIABE MOTORIE® develops content that can be used within products, platforms or services.

Training

We provide professionals with the tools needed to use the method in the agreed context.

Educational project

We build an experience for schools, families or children around a theme relevant to the company.

There does not need to be a predefined format. We start from the company's product, service or objective and explore where FIABE MOTORIE® can create real additional value.

FIABE MOTORIE®

A method developed through fieldwork and in dialogue with research.

FIABE MOTORIE® has been developed through more than ten years of work with children, schools and educational settings. Its focus is the intentional integration of movement, narrative and executive-function demands.

The journey includes research, training and dialogue with the academic world, while this website refers only to collaborations and references that are already documented and suitable for public communication.

LET'S TALK

Do you have a product, space or project designed for children?

Tell us what you are building. Together we can explore whether narrative, movement and cognitive development could open up a new way of using it.

The call is exploratory: its purpose is first of all to understand whether there is a concrete point of connection.
